Abby update - April 24/25

Did you miss us yesterday? Sorry about that. April is my busiest month, and I was in Houston dodging thunderstorms and teaching a frog workshop last night. Gordon did a great job stepping in to handle all the commuting, home-schooling, sports, work-outs, etc., but I didn't make him do blog duty too...

It was great to get home to my family, clear skies, and a beautiful evening tonight. We all took a walk after dinner. The kids spotted birds, identified frog calls, showed Gordon all the milkweeds with Monarch larvae, found Venus in the western sky--they're pretty good young naturalists. And then Frank identified his favorite outdoor sound--the thump, thump, thump of a basketball at the Taylors' house--so we enjoyed a visit there while he shot baskets with their son.

Life is such a blessing, isn't it?
