Abby update - April 23

Seems like we're always singing "Take me out to the ball game..." around here...Abby worked hard to get her homeschool work, Hill Country School work, and music practice done early, so we could head to the ball fields once again this evening.

And it was another four innings--another Yankees win (I can't believe we Linams, with our Texas and Mississippi blood, are cheering for Yankees, but these boys are fun to root for!). Abby and I also got the chance to throw the softball around some. With her arm, I think the girl could still throw out a runner trying to steal 2nd--now we've just got to get those leg joints to cooperate in getting down into a catcher's squat.

It is still those small things that keep us working with and praying for Abby. She can run and throw, but her flexibility and agility aren't completely there yet. She can do math and English and science, but her memory and speed of processing just aren't recovered yet. She can play violin and piano, but her tremors and fine motor control still give her some trouble. She has come so far, but I know she'd like to be back completely...

And, so, as we give thanks along the way, please know that we still need you and your prayers...
Thanks...
-the Linams

We pray for the day of full recovery. Y'all come.
