Abby update - January 16

With Central Texas roads iced over, we did home-grown therapy again this morning (our start at St. David's is now delayed until Friday), but this afternoon I put the list of exercises away, and we all went outside and played in the white stuff for awhile. Abby threw a few snow/sleetballs, while Frank prepared an arsenal for later excursions. Then Abby enjoyed a visit from Taylor Schaede. Abby enjoys being with me, Gordon, and Frank, but there's nothing like hanging out with a friend your own age...I'm so thankful for all Abby's friends who have continued to encourage her and do things with her.

Abby's a little smoother in her walking and other physical activities each day (it even seems like the stiffness in her neck is lessening), but she still struggles so much with memory issues. She is such a joy to be around (we are so thankful that her sweet and light-hearted disposition has not changed), but it's difficult for her to even recall any events of the day--a limitation that would make new schoolwork very difficult. Her therapists have given us some activities to help build memory function, but we would certainly welcome your prayers for this need specifically.

So, you see, we still need you--all our friends and prayer warriors. Thanks for being there!
