Abby update - January 5

We all stayed busy today--Abby with two therapy sessions, a play-date, and a mini-violin lesson; the Oldmixons with more wonderful touches on our house; Gordon and Stephen O'Neil with vacating the "POD"; Frank with home-school and POD assistance; and me with dog duties (cleaning up after them and taking poor itchy Amigo to the vet). But it will be worth it when we celebrate and relax with many of you tomorrow afternoon!

We are looking forward to the chance to see many of you. We had considered waiting until the house was more completely finished or perhaps until Abby was closer back to her old self, but both those things are works in progress, and we don't want to wait until then to thank you or welcome you into our home. Please don't feel you should bring anything except yourself. We have so much, figuratively and literally (our freezer runneth over!). If you want to bring food to share with others at the open house, that's fine, but not necessary. Gordon says if you want to bring a paint brush or hammer...just kidding!!! ;-)

We do have one prayer request. We are still weighing some input from therapists about the most appropriate schedule and setting for Abby's ongoing therapy. Please pray that we will have guidance for the right decision about that.

Until tomorrow...when we'll welcome all of you here in body or in spirit, at least...

Well, we are there in spirit. We figure that we have been to see you recently so will let everyone else have a chance. But we do pray blessings upon you and yours and all that you have to face in the future.

Well, the party has started and I'm so sad I'm not there! I hope you are all having a wonderful time. Can't wait until we see each other again.

Jessie
